Tip
- This map is used for flagship-sparkling.
- This entails running the ship you want sparkled in the flagship position. Sometimes this is done alone, which minimizes MVP-theft (a rare problem); however, more commonly two "trash" vessels (destroyers picked up from 1-1 while you are sparkling) are placed in the second and third slots to minimize the chances of enemy vessels scratching your flagship. They are not refueled, and are scrapped or used as modernization fodder once they can no longer be deployed.
- The short length, harmless enemies, and 50% boss encounter rate make this map ideal for completing Bw1.
- You are recommended to sparkle ships while completing this.

Stage Guide
The route from D to C is one-way only (you can not move from C to D). All compass spins in this stage are random. Keep trying if you're getting detoured to the maelstrom. Do note that F has heavy cruisers and the boss node has a battleship.

Stage Guide
After playing this stage once, you may notice that standard aircraft carriers are pretty painful. Your countermeasures are to pick up a few heavy cruisers in this stage or 1-3 and train them up, try to craft battleships for doing the same; pushing through with firepower and armor, or building your own aircraft carrier to shoot down enemy aircraft. Note that this last suggestion will also help in completing the quests for Akagi: A11, have a CV(L) and 3 destroyers in your second fleet; B10, sink an enemy CV.
Tips
- This map is convenient for completing Bw2, preferably with a fleet of three subs. The diamond formations here hurt them far less than those in 2-2.

Stage Guide
This is a complete submarine map, unless your fleet composition is wrong and you go off-course. Considering the experience you can achieve per sortie *~1500 exp) and compared to the consumption (8-9 bars), this map can be a suitable place to level up your DDs and CLs for low level admirals. Since the composition of most of the early formations are very small (less than 3), this is a very good place to have the Quests Bd1, Bd2, Bd3, Bd8, and Bw5 completed with barely a scratch to ships.
- To reach the boss, a fleet of no more than 4 ships is required.
- Having exactly 1 CVL/CAV/AV/LHA prevents you from being sent to node G from E, 50-50 otherwise.
- Having more than 2 CL or a normal BB or having more than 4 ships will send you from C to F (enemy carrier).
- Having a SS might send you from C to F
- Nodes F and G consist of very strong enemies, even after being adjusted to your admiral level. Make sure you satisfy the fleet requirements above and have at least 1 DD or 1 CL in order to reach the boss safely.
- Being sent to node D requires more than 4 ships, as yet no D -> I (boss) route is known. UPDATE: If you lose enough ships at D to then have 4 ships or less you can go from D -> I
- At least 1 BBV is highly recommended as it can equip seaplanes to hit subs while allowing you to enter the 2nd shelling phase.
- Clearing this map gives you bonus medals and a boost to your admiral points for ranking purposes. At the beginning of each month, the boss HP bar will be reset, thus allowing you to obtain the medal and bonus points again. (If the month has reset and the boss bar didn't regen for you, get a new API link.)
- The enemies on the map is scaled to your admiral level, which means that the enemy may rank up when you hit a certain admiral level. Nodes power up at levels 40 and 80.
- 1 CVL, 1 BBV, 2 DD/CL is the recommended compostion with a 100% chance to reach the boss.

Branching Rules | ||
---|---|---|
Nodes | Rules | |
Starts with | A | A fleet that contains a BBV, a CA, a CVL or 2 CAV(?) starts with C.
Less than or equal to 3DD will take you to C. Start with A otherwise. |
C | ||
G | F | 1 CL, Akitsumaru, and/or Katori plus DDs will take you to F.
Having 6 DD or 4 DD + 2 CL or 4 DD + 1 CL + 1 CAV/AV gives a 50/50 chance of going to either F or K. Less than or equal to 3DD will take you to K. |
K | ||
M | J | LoS check ? |
L |
- Reaching node N 7 times clears the map.
- Clearing this map rewards you with 1 Present Box & 75 ranking points. No medal.
- The following ship types are not allowed on this map: (F)BB, CV, CLT, SS(V)
- Double-arrow nodes (D, F, L) are Carrier Task Force battle nodes like those in the Summer 2014 Event. On those nodes two Aerial Combat phases occur and nothing else.
- You may bring: BBV, CA(V), CVL, AV, CL, DD, Akitsumaru, Katori, Akashi, and Taigei.
- There is no Boss Battle in this map. Instead you will receive a random amount of resources of either Fuel, Ammo, Steel, or Bauxite at the Boss Node (Technically it is not a Boss Node and instead a Huge Resource Node).
- Because Node N, the node after node B and D is the Ending Huge Resource Node, you may advance to the node with a Heavy Damaged Ship after defeating the enemy fleet in node B or D, as you won't be facing any enemies in node N.
- Using 3 CL 3 DD or 4 CL 2 DD will take you to node C.
- Using BBV, CA, CVL will take you to node C or K, which will take you to a route where there are very difficult enemies such as Flagship Wo-class, Flagship Ru-class waiting for you. Line Ahead Submarines also exist.
NOT RECOMMENDED TO USE BBV, CA, CVL AT ALL. - Node A is empty node. No Battle.
- Node E is Submarine Node with Echelon formation. Because this node is so minor in nature, bringing Anti-Submarine equipments is not required.
- Node F is a 2-Aerial Phase + No-Shelling Phase node. You must survive the two Aerial Bombing by the enemy CV/CVL.
- Having Anti-Air Cut-In equipments on your ships is highly recommended to survive node F.
- You may choose to end the battle in node F after the 2-Aerial phase but this will result in Rank D Loss. You may choose to go into Night Battle but beware this is risky as the enemy could wreck you as it is 6 vs 6, and this costs more Ammo.
- You can bring either 2 AV or Akitsu Maru + CAV to have a chance at getting a B rank on Node F.
- Clearing this Map by totally emptying the Resource Bar on the right will reward you with 1000 fuel and a Present Box.
- If you reach Node N again after clearing the map, you will only be rewarded with either 50, 70 or 100 fuel, ammo, steel or bauxite until the bar is reset on the 1st day of a new month.
Tips
- Node E is a good place for players above Level 80 HQ to complete Bd8 (Sink 6 Submarines) and Bw5 (Sink 15 Submarines).
Recommended Fleet Compositions:
- A - E - G - F - B - N (Huge Resource Node)
- 6 DD (Has chance to go Node G to K.)
- 1 CL + 5 DD (Most likely to go Node G to F)
- 2 CL + 4 DD (Has chance to go Node G to K)
- Akitsu Maru + CAV + 4 DD (Has a chance to go Node G to K. Advantage is that you can get a B rank on the air battle at Node F.)
- 2 AV + 4 DD (Also possible to get B-win at node F)
