General Information
  • Named after Samuel Langley.
  • She was launched on the 22nd of May 1943.
  • She was transferred to France as R96 La Fayette on 8th January 1951 under the Mutual Defense Assistance Program.
  • She was returned to the United States on 20th March 1963 and sold for scrapping.
