Introduction

The Winter 2016 Event Sortie! Operation Rei-Go is planned to start on February 10th, 2016. It has been confirmed that the event will be inspired off of Operation Rei-Go which was a one day battle that took place along the Mindoro Island where an IJN counterattack was conducted in the winter on December 26th, 1944.

The Event is planned to be a small scale event, which will allow you to choose a difficulty much like previous events. It's been noted that hard level difficulty will be more difficult compare to usual event maps. The Event is planned to be 3 stages long.

Two stage will be the main stage operations which will be themed around Operation Rei-Go and the Final Stage will be an Extra Operation which has been called an "If Operation" that will focus on an Interception Mission.

In addition, and will feature fights against land based air units and a new gimmick system that will be different from the usual armor reduction gimmick.

It's also been noted that for Operation Rei-Go, there is a flexible fleet requirement to complete the Rei-Go portions of the event. But it will vary depending on the difficulty setting.

Information

Known and Confirmed Ships

Currently, Kancolle Staff Tweets have reported that there will be "more than one new kanmusu" introduced in this event. Currently it's known that 3 kanmusus are to appear within this event. What has been revealed so far is:

  • An Akizuki Class Destroyer that bravely sacrificed herself to protect some members of the Ozawa fleet allowing them time to escape. She was commissioned and Struck from the list on the winter season. This suggests that the destroyer will be Hatsuzuki.
  • Comtiq Spring Magazine revealed that the next a Yuugumo-Class Destroyer is planning to be appear during this event. It's been noted that this Kanmusu also partook in the same battle at the Akizuki-Class Destroyer and sunk soon afterwards. This suggests the next Yuugumo to appear might be Fujinami.
  • Finally, Comtiq's Spring Magazine revealed that a foreign ship is expected to appear in the Extra Operation Map.
  • In addition, it been confirmed from a series of tweets that ships from past events will appear in this event as drops, most likely Graf Zeppelin, Mizuho, Akitsushima and Amagi.

Mechanics

Participation requirements

  • Must have a 75% sortie win ratio.
  • Must have 5 empty ship slots for new ships.
  • Must have 20 free equipment slots.

Special Mechanics

  1. The difficulty system first used in Spring 2015 Event returns: you can choose between Operation A (, Hard), Operation B (, Medium) or Operation C (, Easy).
    • Choosing A or B requires certain HQ Level (HQ Lv 35 for B / 80 for A in Spring 2015 Event).
  2. It's been noted that the Extra Operation will involve a use a new gimmick that will not be related to the armor reduction gimmick.
