Tips

Regarding Land-Based Air Squadrons

  • You are permitted to use 1 LBAS.
  • Upon completing the quest B175, you will gain access to an LBAS, which is highly recommended to help simplify the battle on the boss node for this map.
  • It's recommended to bring Land-Based Bombers, Fighters, and ASW planes in it if you want to increase your effectiveness on the Boss.
  • The LBAS range needed to reach the boss is 2, and the other nodes range is equal or higher.
    • Bring planes with a distance of 2 or more in order for this to support an attack on the boss node.
  • This map can also serve as a good location to train your Land-Based attack planes to max expertise. Bring only Land-Based Attackers with a distance of 3 or 7 (or more) as they will reach enough distance to reach submarine Nodes on B, C, J, and K, where your planes should target in order to be trained.

Recommended Fleets

This guide will go over the events of this map from the sequential order when you obtain Quest B175. Since this a normal map, you do not necessarily have complete things in the order mentioned, but to make things most convenient for you, it's recommended to at least complete B175 to access the LBAS.

Traveling to Kaohsuing (For Quest B175)

  • Composition: 1-6 SS(V)
  • Route = C D F J K M O
  • The LOS Range needed is estimated to be 32 F33 Cn3
  • Submarines will face little to no threats along the way. At most they will take 2 loses and 3 wins.
  • Using Seaplanes or Submarine Radars 
     
          to have enough LOS and so route from M to O.
  • Once your submarine fleet reaches O you will gain   and  
    • For more information please review the farming guide further below.

Sink the Hi Convoy Princess

In this sequence, it's recommended to have cleared B175 before hand to make this section of the map easier as the assistance of an LBAS will help give you the necessary edge needed to fight against the boss in this map. While the boss is not strong, the fleet she is accompanied with may present issues if you cannot wipe out her ships that assist her.

Below is a guide on the recommended compositions that will work effectively against the boss.

  • Composition: 0-1BBV, 1CVL, 1CA/CL, 2-3 DD, 1-2 DE
  • Route: A B E J L P
  • LBAS: Node P (Range 2)
  • Will allow you to bring a very strong fleet to the boss
  • Fleet will need a group of ships that can effectively OASW to survive the dangerous submarines on this map.
  • Hyuuga Kai Ni and an Escort Carrier is recommend to help make clearing more possible.
  • Fleet will have to go through 2 Submarine fights, 1 Air Battle, 2 Surface/Submarine Fights.
  • Node J can especially be problematic due to it featuring 3 So-class flagship submarines, but will become even more dangerous on Last Dance due to the fact that the enemy fleet will be in Line ahead formation.
  • AACI is also recommended for node E
  • At least 1 TCI DD is recommended
  • If possible bring ships that can take on multiple roles to effectively clear the map easily
  • The boss does not have a lot of planes, bringing enough air power and AACI can effectively deplane her rendering her defenseless
  • Land Base should use a combination of Fighter Planes, Bombers, and ASW Bombers to effectively help with clearing the boss.
    • Depending on how you set up your LBAS, line ahead or double line will be recommended for the boss.
      • Line Ahead is recommended if your LBAS can effectively take out the enemy subs.
      • Double Line is preferred if your LBAS is not set to fight subs.
  • Last Dance comp will buff up the DDs and CL in her fleet along with giving her additional air power, bring additional air power as a countermeasure to effectively beat her.

  • Composition : 1CT, 1DD, 3DE
  • Route: A B E J P
  • LBAS: Node P (Range 2)
  • Will go through, 1 Submarine fight, 1 Air Node, and 1 Surface/Submarine fight before reaching the boss.
  • Not recommend entirely due to the risks this map may present to your fleet due to lack of strong combat effective ships
    • You will be depending specifically on one DD to score the kill against the boss.
    • DEs will mainly take on OASW
    • CT will mainly do Combat
    • DD will do TCI
  • Node E and P may present issues on your chances of passing due to lack of air defense.
  • Land Base may want to consider removing the surface ships to make scoring the kill against the Princess more likely
    • Your Destroyer will need to avoid taking too much damage to effectively kill the boss
  • Do Not recommend for Last Dance

Resources and LBAS Farming

  • Composition: 1-6 SS(V)
  • Route = C D F J K M O
    • LoS required: ≥ 32 F33 Cn3

It is possible to farm both Fuel   and Bauxite   by reaching node O.

  • Base amount of resources are 40 fuel and 20 bauxites without the uses of Daihatsus and Drum Canisters
  • Using Tanks  on your subarines increase resources gain.
  • It is possible to farm for LBAS Plane Proficiency by sending your LBAS on one of the subarine nodes like J or K.
  • While this map has little to no threats against submarines, J will have rare instances where destroyers may pop up in the composition that will damage your submarines. Please be aware of this while farming this map.
  • Do not consider farming on LD as J will be locked on the 2 Destroyer comp that will pose a threat to your subs.

Doing this farming will bring you a lot of "loses", which can impact your overall win rate and so your "event eligibility".

Be adviced: The Developers have mentioned that the composition and map will change over time, this may even include the resource node possibly. So take advantage of the map while you can.
