Boss route (C-F-G)

    • The sum of carriers and battleships in your fleet cannot exceed 2 and aviation battleships are not allowed unless you bring an AV. XX cannot be CV(L/B) or (F)BB(V). As the boss node already has battleships, it's not necessary to bring one, unless F node's closing torpedo salvo gives you problems. In this case, make sure you can obtain air superiority or supremacy in all nodes.
  • 2 (CV(L/B) + (F)BB(V)), 1 XX, 1 AV, 2 DD
    • In case you need aviation battleships, this will go the same route. XX cannot be CV(L/B) or (F)BB(V).
    • This can be also suitable for BBV training since most maps on World 2 restrict them.

Tips

  • All destroyers should be remodeled, equipped with double attack setup and have their stats maxed (with the exception of AA).
  • Use Line ahead in boss node.

Recommeded Fleet

  • In order to get to Boss Node, you will need to use a fleet of only 6 DD, 1 CL, 5 DD or 1 AO, 1 XX 4DD (Fast Fleet). Having any other type of ship inside your fleet will force you off route.
    • Each fleet composition has a chance of avoiding Node H if specific conditions are met:
      • Noted Fleet Path - C - G - F - L or C - G - H - F - L
      • 6 DD has a 50% chance of avoiding Node H
      • A Fast Fleet consisting of 1 AO, 1 XX, 4 DD can has a 40% chance of avoiding node H.
      • 1 CL, 5 DD have a 30% chance of avoiding Node H

Speed Enhanced Fleet Path

  • By using equipment such as turbines and boilers, you can also bypass Node H by going C - E - F - L
  • See Improving Ship Speed for additional details on how to improve your ships speed performance when considering the below options.
    • Fast+ fleet that consists of 1CL 5DD and is equipped with 1 Radar will always bypass node H, with the more radars equipped, the higher chance you will go to node E, avoiding the maelstrom
    • Using a Fleet of ships that can go Fastest will give them a 50% chance of avoiding going to Node G and instead take Node E
      • Ships such as Shimakaze and Tashkent can easily reach fastest without lots of boilers, however all other DD will need 2 of New High Pressure, High Speed Boilers to achieve Fastest which can only be achieved through Amatsukaze or expensive engine improvements.
    • 1 AO, 1 XX, 4DD has a 40% chance of going to Node E as long as everyone in the fleet is Fast (which means equiping 1 Turbine and Boiler on your AO)
      • This gives your fleet a chance to bring a relatively stronger fleet to the boss node

Ammo Farming

Recommended Fleet

1 XX (as long as ship is not a (F)BB(V) or CV(L)(B)

This map makes it possible to farm ammo which you can earn anywhere between 50-155 ammo. The process to gaining ammo is simple and it is recommended to use a throwaway ship to save on spending resources while completing the take.

The following steps must be taken to ensure this can be completd:

  • Equip throwaway ship with Repair Team
  • Send this to Node A and lose the battle
  • Select to use repair team and veture onward.
  • Reach Node B and get ammo

NOTE: The Repair Team is not consumed while doing this process as this is the only battle you go through and your repair team is only consumed if you enter a 2nd fight. Since there is no 2nd fight, the repair team remains equipped on your throwaway ship.

Once complete, remove Repair Team from said ship and rinse and repeat as you gain ammo at an alarming rate.

Additional Note: This process will cause your Sortie Win/Lose Ratio to drop over time if you do not have a large sortie participation number. Please carefully consider doing this practice if you are relatively new as it could risk your chance in participating in Events if your sortie % rate drops to below 75%.

Tips On this map, no matter which path you'll take you will be hitting a malestrom node. It is recommended to have some radars equipped on 1-3 ships to minimize the loss of your fuel while you travel through this map.

Path: A - C - G - M

  • This will take your fleet along the quickest path in the north path. Most Enemy units will consist of moderate to light weight ships except for G which will have some carriers and Ru-class BBs. However having the proper trained fleet should help bypass this node with minimal issue.

  • Recommeded for the bottom path to the boss, this will save of bauxite cost, but in return will cost more fuel and ammo along with possible buckets due to the number of encounters you'll face.

  • Collecting Furniture Coins in the South Path require a light fleet which uses a simlar comp to the South path, however some changes can be considered to make the route eaiser / less expensive which ca include the following:

  • Both comps are good for helping you survive the battles on the way to Nodes D and H to help you obtain Furniture Coin Boxes, however there is a chance you'll avoid both nodes. In this case, consider retreating once you hit Node K.
  • This is also an excellent map for farming Mutsu for her 41cm guns to upgrade equipment

Tips

This map will require your to use specific compositions along with achiving good LoS to prevent being thrown into dead ends or taking routes that will just completely drain all your fuel and ammo.

If you notice you fleet going along the route of A - C - B - H - G... this implies you will have gone through 5 battles and will have no fuel or ammo left for the boss. Consider retreating and use a more suitable composition for this map.

This comp will allow you to use a heavier fleet against the boss fleet, but you will need to bring radar to ensure that your fleet do not lose a lot of resources at the Maelstrom node. Most battles should be straight forward until you reach the boss.

This path will take your fleet along the shortest and fastest path to the boss node. You will only face one battle and a maelstrom node. Keep in mind however that it will be a small fleet vs. a Heavy Fleet at the boss node. However, your fuel and ammo will be at a very high percentage making it possible to likely evade attack more efficiently.

    • South Route (B-G-K):
      • 1 CL + 5 DD
        • Regarded as the 'standard' composition, this is the strongest possible composition that is guaranteed to reach the boss via B-G-K, assuming LoS requirements are met. It is recommended to try the south route with this composition first.
        • Sparkling is recommended for lower level DDs as you are unlikely to kill or disable all enemies in preboss nodes, which can lead to closing torpedoes critically damaging the low-armored DDs if not evaded.
      • 1 CAV + 1 CL + 4 DD
        • An alternative composition, this trades the 100% reliability of the compass in exchange for more power and a higher chance of surviving preboss battles. G-node will be a CVL node in which Air Superiority can be achieved with the help of seaplane fighters and Mogami Kai with her recently revised seaplane slots.
        • There is a risk of getting sent off-course to nodes A or E. Players may opt to refresh the game if sent to these nodes.
      • 1 AV + 1 CL + 4 DD
        • Another alternative, this also sacrifices guaranteed routing, but in exchange for a a pre-emptive torpedo strike, and possibility of Air Parity (Air Superiority with Mizuho Kai or seaplane fighters) at G node on the final clear.
        • There is a risk of getting sent off-course to nodes A or E. Players may opt to refresh the game if sent to these nodes.
      • 1 AO + 2 AV + 1 CLT + 2 CL
      • Takes you along the path of ADBGK
        • While the first node takes you up North, it's manageable and afterward you'll be taken south through the lower path.
        • Arming Hayasui with a SCAMP and some Torpedo Bombers will help her aid by getting a better chance to do some damage in battle.
        • Seaplane Tenders should be armed with either Seaplane Bombers or Seaplane Fighters
        • CL and CLT such as Abukuma, Kitakami and Ooi are preffered to help wipe out the enemies in the more easily in the south route.
        • While more expensive in comparison to other compositions, this is also more likely to ensure your suvival to the boss node.
