Gameplay Notes
Special Ability: Full broadside... Sounds exciting!
Note: The Following ability is currently experimental and is subject for possible changes/removal in due time. All current notes are based on what has been known since it's initial release.
Nagato Kai Ni has been given the special ability known as Full broadside... Sounds exciting! in which she along with 1 other (F)BB(V) commence in a special attack where they attack 3 target at random.
As of current, the following conditions needed to activate the special attack are known:
- Nagato Kai Ni must be in the flagship position
- A Battleship must be in the 2nd Position.
- 3rd - 6th slots must not have an SS(V)
- In a Single Fleet set up, you must use Echelon Formation to activate the attack.
This attack will allow Nagato to attack twice doing 1,4x damage modidfer while the 2nd Battleship will do 1.2x damage modifier for the 3rd Attack. If Mutsu is used as the 2nd ship, both Nagato's and Mutsu's attack modifier goes up to 1.6x.
In addition to this, this attack will consume 10% extra ammo to the participating BBs if the special attack is used.

Trivia
- She is named after Nagato Provice, modern day Yamaguchi Prefecture.
- Nagato was part of the orginal game's launch when the game was released in April 23rd, 2013.
- Nagato was the only surviving Japanese Capital ship after World War II.
- The "Giant Flash" she speaks of in her sunk and wedding lines is probably a reference to the Able Nuclear Test during Operation Crossroads, where a 23-kiloton air deployed nuclear weapon was detonated over Nagato and 94 other target ships. Nagato had been deliberately placed near the epicenter of both the Able and Baker detonations because the Pearl Harbor attack had been commanded from her bridge.
- Nagato managed to survive the Able Test unscathed, however she sprung a leak after the underwater detonation during the Baker Test, repair crews were unable to repair the leak due to high radiation levels and she capsized and sank during the night of 29/30 July 1946.
- The real-life Nagato made a cameo in the animated movie, "The Wind Rises", shown with the serpentine funnel that came with her refitting between 1923-1925.
- Sunk as a target during Operation Crossroads, 25 July 1946. Currently resting in 110 ft. of water, and upside-down, she is listed as one of the top 10 diving sites in the world.
