- Participated in Operation Ten-Go, Yamato's suicide mission, along with Yukikaze, Yahagi, Hatsushimo, Asashimo, Isokaze, Hamakaze and two other Destroyers not yet present in the game. She sunk during the operation, on April 7, 1945.
- Her name means "haze" or "mist".
- She can equip Daihatsu-class Landing Craft and Fleet Command Facility at Kai Ni. In addition, she can equip Large Radars like the FuMO25 Radar at Kasumi Kai Ni B. However she can't equip Fleet Command Facility anymore at Kai Ni B.
- Her Kai Ni B form can perform an AACI with only a High-Angle gun and a Machine gun. This AACI shoots down 2 planes. When AA Radar is added, effectiveness is boosted to 4 planes.
- Her Kai Ni B remodel is based upon the Type-B Destroyer model , an Anti-Air focused Destroyer, which the Akizuki-Class Destroyers were based upon.
- She is required for quests A30, A32, A46, B21 and B38.
