Sandbox Rules
This sandbox is to be used to construct an event guide for the above-mentioned event map. These guides are to all of the following requirements:
- An overview of the map, including ship/equipment bonuses, Ship Locks, and special mechanics,
- List of branching unlocking requirements (if there are multiple requirements, compositions for each path along with the below requirements will be needed to discuss the unlocking requirements in question),
- A list of working compositions that work: (T=these must have possible alternatives for players who may or may not have all ships needed for a specific path),
- The Paths said compositions will take (to explain each path the composition will/can take),
- A summary or description of what kind of obstacles a composition will face.
- A description of the boss node: what it consists of, and a descriptive guide on what the player should consider for a course of action to successfully win the battle,
- Optional: Tips/guides to farm certain ships and/or resources (this can also require compositions, paths, and possible descriptions).
Editors are to construct their own version of the guide/part of the guide, and complete it in a timely fashion.
No editor is allowed to edit over other editors' work without the consent of the editor and his approval to do so.
Several versions will be constructed through this page and will be reviewed and approved by the staff/collaboration committee before being moved for the Spring 2022 Event, being reviewed and updated once more before it can be released.
Overall there should be 3 versions of the guide that have to be constructed, including: Preliminary > Polished > Finalized Guides
With each approval of each version of the guide, the said guide will be updated to the main page, and construction of the next version will begin.
All guides outside of the approved version will be removed and work will begin from the approved version to make it better for the next version until the finalized version is made.

Map Overview
E5 is a three-phase map utilizing Single fleets, Striking Force Fleets, Surface Task Forces, Carrier Task Forces, and Transport Combined Fleet.
- This map contains 3 locks
- The Sasebo Deployment Fleet Tag is applied to Single/Striking Force fleets sortieing to this map, and will start at point 1.
- The Combined-Fleet Rescue Force Tag is applied to Carrier Task Force, Surface Task Force or Transport Task Force sortieing to this map only in Phase 2, and will start at point 2.
- The The 2nd Fleet Tag is an E4 recycled tag and applied to Surface Task Forces sortieing to this map, and will start at point 3.
- Locking Note: Ship Lock will only be enforced for Hard Mode.
- All 3 LBAS are available to sortie.
- LBAS location and range can be changed after completing Phase 1 & 2.
Phase 0.5: Unlocking the First Boss
To unlock the Path to the first Boss:
- S rank B3 x2 on Hard
- Reach D2 Once
- Reach D1 Once
Phase 1: Defeat First Boss
- SF: 1FBB, 2CV, 1CL, 3DD
- Route: A A1 A2 C1 C2 D1 E G
- LBAS: Range 9 to G, 33/65 AD/AP for chipping (53/105 AD/AP on Last Dance Hard)
LBAS Range will automatically change once Phase 1 is completed.
Phase 1.5: Unlock the 2nd boss
There's 1 requirement to unlock the 2nd Boss: S Rank K twice for Hard/Medium/Easy or once on Casual.
- CTF: 2CV, 2CVL, 2 DD + 1CL, 2FBB, 3DD
- Route: H I1 I2 J K
- LBAS Range is 9 to K
- Send LBAS to I2 and I1 to help pass those nodes to get to K.
Phase 2: Deplete the TP Gauge
- TCF: 0-1CVE, 1CL, 4-5DD + 1CL, 0-1CA, 4-5DD
- Route: L L2 N O P
- The Lightest Fleet which allow for fast TP drain.
- Boss Support is recommended to try and secure the A rank.
- LBAS Range to Boss: 6. AD/AP: 121/242 on Hard
- There's a LoS Check at O.
- Aim for an A rank only as an S rank is very tough to do and can't be achieved reliably.
It is recommended to use:
- An ASW LBAS on Node L,
- 1-2 OASW capable ships,
LBAS will automatically relocate once Phase 2 is completed. They will revert back to the original LBAS Location from the beginning of Phase 1.
Phase 3: Vaporize Supply Depot Hime
- STF: 1BB, 1CL, 4DD + 1CA(V), 1CL, 4DD (FAST)
- Route: Q Q1 S A4 A3 T U V1 V
- LBAS Range is 6 to the boss. AD/AP: 45/89 on Hard
- There's an LoS Check at V1 Cn3 = 95? on Hard.
- At least 1 CL and 8 DD are required to take the shortest route.
- Bringing 2 BB is possible but will take the longer route.
It is recommended to use:
- A "Nuke" Setup on a DD,
- An ASW LBAS on Node U, otherwise, 1-2 OASW capable ships,
- 1 AACI capable ship,
- Special Attack ships such as Yamato Kai Ni Juu.
Phase 4: Kill the Final Boss
- STF: 3(F)BB(V), 1CL, 1CVL, 0-1AV, 0-1CAV, 0-1AO Kai/Akashi Kai/Akitsushima Kai + 1CL, 1CLT, 1CA(V), 3DD
- Route: Q Q2 W Y1 Y Y2 Z1 Z2 Z
- LBAS Range to boss is 7. AD/AP: 132/263 on Hard
- Z2 is an Emergency Anchorage Repairs node.
- Using any AO Kai/Akashi Kai/Akitsushima Kai will allow to route the Z2, even if the repair mechanic is not used.
- There's a LoS Check at Y2
It is recommanded to use:
- 1-2 OASW capable ships,
- 1 AACI capable ship,
- Special Attack ships such as Yamato Kai Ni Juu.
Phase 5: Debuff
Once Last Dance is reached, the following steps can be performed to debuff the boss.
- The following requirements are needed to complete the debuffing process.
LBAS | A3 | B | B3 | G | V | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Hard | AS x2 | AS x1 | AS x1 | S | S | A+ |
Medium | AS x1 | AS x1 | AS x1 | S | A+ | A+ |
Easy | - | - | AS x1 | S | A | A |
Casual | - | - | ? | ? | ? | ? |
- LBAS: Air Defense
- This can be done passively since getting AS on the air raid requires an LBAS set on "defense" with a strong enough air-defense
For the fleet used, refer to Phase 0.5 as it is the same fleet.
For the fleet used, refer to Phase 1 as it is the same fleet.
For the fleet used, refer to Phase 3 as it is the same fleet.
