Unlike most standard Abyssals, PT-Imp Packs are very small and fast.
- All ship types suffer a severe accuracy and firepower penalty against PT-Imp.
- Attacking them with larger guns is not very effective, smaller guns being recommended instead.
The Accuracy formula against PT-IMPs:[1][2][3][4]
- [math]\displaystyle{ \text{Accuracy}_\text{vs.PT} = \biggl\lfloor \left( \left(\text{Accuracy}_\text{Standard} \times 0.42 + 24 \right) \times \text{Mod}_\text{Ship} \times \text{Mod}_\text{Gear} \times \text{Mod}_\text{Vanguard} \right) \biggr\rfloor }[/math]
With:
- [math]\displaystyle{ \text{Accuracy}_\text{Standard} }[/math] is the standard accuracy described here
- PT-Imps are "DDs" in the game, so the [math]\displaystyle{ \text{Mod}_\text{formation} }[/math] for vanguard is 0.88/1.32 for the top and bottom halves respectively.
- Historical accuracy bonuses during Events is included in the Standard Accuracy Term, i.e. it is affected by the 0.42x modifier.
- [math]\displaystyle{ \text{Mod}_\text{Ship} }[/math] is the bonus given by ship types, described below,
- [math]\displaystyle{ \text{Mod}_\text{Gear} }[/math] is the bonus given by equipment, described below,
- When several equipment are used on a ship, it is then the product of those bonuses.
- [math]\displaystyle{ \text{Mod}_\text{Vanguard} }[/math] is 1.2 when using the Vanguard Formation.[5]

Amagiri Kai Ni/D has the ability to prioritize focusing on attacking PT-Imp with increased accuracy if any are present.
- Ships placed in the composition slots above and below her will gain a small accuracy boost and will prioritize attacking PT-Imp if any are present.

The values presented above are theorized to be fixed hit rates.
- This means they are unaffected by any outside factors.
- These rates are based on tests conducted during the Summer 2017 Event[9][10].
- The average observed hit rate without anti-TP setups was about 40% for regular fleets and about 10% for TCF. The values on the table are the differences in hit rates compared to this.
|
Notes:
- It is recommended to use anti-PT setups on DDs only, such setups compromising overall combat effectiveness.
- Having a Reinforcement Expansion is important because it can save a ship slot by containing a machine gun or skilled lookouts.
- Combining equipment is recommended to see significant boosts to accuracy.
- Using other setups improving accuracy is also advisable:
