Kantai Collection is a very rich game with a lot of stats and calculations happening all the time. As it is a browser game, several pieces of software have been developed by the community, to either:
- Directly intercept game data to better see what is happening within the game in real-time,
- Simply help players to compute in-game data more effectively.
3rd Party Software directly interacting with the game are in theory forbidden according to Kancolle terms of services. However, almost every advanced players use some, and they are even required to play aboard without using a VPN. Outside of Bots and the use of macro, no ban has been recorded regarding the usage of such software |
Overview
As they are relatively unpractical and come in many forms, VPN are not recommended in general.
- However, some options are detained here.
The usage of Bots being clearly against the terms of services and a valid ban reason, none will be endorsed by the Wiki
The rest of the 3rd Party Softwares is divided into the following categories:
- Direct, having to interact directly with the game,
- Bypasses to the Block, allowing to play from aboard,
- Loaders, simply preloading some of the game asset to have,
- Patchers, applying some mods to the game, most of the time visual ones,
- Viewers, directly watching the game to then give more information to the player.
- Indirect, working independently from the game itself:
- Simulators, computing element of the game or even the game itself, to prepare or predict sorties,
- Replayers, simply displaying pre-recorded runs or simulated runs,
- Managers, displaying players' fleets/gears to have a better view of them.
Those 3rd Party Softwares come in many shapes and forms, and usually combine several of the previously listed aspects.
KCCP - KanColle Cache Proxy
The main way to bypass any login restrictions, as well as applying patches on desktops.
- It works with all major Internet browsers as well as most of the other viewers, and is compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux.
- It will also pre-download almost every game asset to then have faster loading across the game.

GotoBrowser
The main way to play on Android, replacing the official Android application.
- It runs the standard browser version directly on mobile, being better optimized than the official version.
- Like KCCP, it directly bypasses any restrictions, and can apply some patches.
- The "Command Room" is available at any time, even offline, and provides most of the information a player might ever need.
- It is available in many languages like English and Japanese, and other ones but with lesser support.

KC3 Kai - KanColle Command Center Kai
The main viewer for Chromium-based browsers, it is among the easiest to use and has a great variety of tools regarding Kancolle.
- It comes as a Chromium plugin, directly available on the "chrome web store".
- In some situations, it might be enough to bypass restrictions.
- The game is launched through KC3 to then be viewed.

Poi
A viewer that can also bypass restrictions.

Electronic Observer
A viewer that comes as a standalone desktop application.

Kcanotify
The main viewer on Android, being compatible with both the official application and Gotobrowser.
- It is available as a Google Play Store application.
- It must be run before launching the game to track it.

Others
Hundreds of 3rd Party Softwares exist, most of them being in Japanese or Chinese, and so, most of them won't help most of the foreign player base.
- A quick search in the "Chrome Web Store", the "Google Play Store", or on "GitHub" can also reveal dozen of other lesser popular 3rd Party Software.
DMM extension (for Chrome), Redirector extension (for other browsers, a custom config is needed)
Patches
Here are some patches compatible with KCCP, Poi, and Gotobrowser:
- English Patch
A translation of almost every game asset in English, allowing players to have close to the real Kancolle experience without speaking Japanese.
- Link: [13]
- Damage fix Patch
When damage is done in combat, "critical" markers are almost never relevant, as the game displays any damage above 39 as a critical hit. This patch changes this behavior to display more relevant damage marking.

- Live 2D
Add live 2D elements to the game. Be aware that most of those additions are AI generated, and may not feel natural.

- Notes
Countless other cosmetical patches exist, but have little to no effect on the game.
