To help explain things further, here's a simplified requirement for most ships to be able to perform Preemptive ASW.

3-Slot DDs and CL

Since the majority of DDs and CLs have 3 Slots, these slots apply to them mainly to them. All of the following is based upon the results of unmarried kanmusu (Less than level 100)

4-Slot Light Cruisers and Training Cruisers

Ooyodo, Yuubari, Katori and Kashima are currently the only 4 ships that have 4 slots, to simplfy the listing we will provide the listing of what combinations work for them. All of the following is based upon the results of unmarried kanmusu (Less than level 100)

Katori Kai Kashima Kai	60	Would require 48 ASW from 4 Type 4 SONARs at level 60, can use less ASW strong gear as they level up.
