Basics
MediaWikis
As an administrator, you gain editing access to MediaWikis. These are protected "templates" that can contain unrestricted code, such as iframes, external images, JavaScript, etc. Some of these MediaWikis apply site-wide. These are why admins are the only ones who can edit.

Wikia
- MediaWiki:Emoticons - chat emoticons
- MediaWiki:Chat-user-joined - chat room message when someone joins
- MediaWiki:Chat-user-was-kicked - chat room message when someone was kicked
- MediaWiki:Welcome-user-page - default profile for new users
- MediaWiki:Welcome-message-user - message wall sent to new users
- MediaWiki:Blockedtext - message seen by blocked users
Theming
MediaWiki:Common.css- adding styles here does not seem to work- MediaWiki:Wikia.css - applies to Wikia theme (current)
- MediaWiki:Monobook.css - applies to MonoBook theme
Scripting
- MediaWiki:Common.js - applies to all themes(?) not tested if working, might be same as css
- MediaWiki:Wikia.js - applies to Wikia theme (current)
- MediaWiki:Monobook.js - applies to MonoBook theme
Staff Help
Wikia staff members have full access to all Wikia. They will be shown in Special:Listusers/staff on any wiki. Please use Special:Contact to contact Wikia staff.
Abilities
These additional functions include:
- Deleting and undeleting pages, page histories, and uploaded files.
- Locking (protecting) a page so it cannot be edited or renamed by users without admin rights or autoconfirmed status.
- Blocking IP addresses or user names from editing; and very quick "rollback" of undesirable edits.
- Editing the interface by changing system messages and skins.
