This page is for Administrators and is the place where they can access various resources that may be useful for managing the wiki. If you just want to see who the administrators are, or you're looking into contacting one, please check the Staff page.

Resources

Basics

MediaWikis

As an administrator, you gain editing access to MediaWikis. These are protected "templates" that can contain unrestricted code, such as iframes, external images, JavaScript, etc. Some of these MediaWikis apply site-wide. These are why admins are the only ones who can edit.

Staff Help

Wikia staff members have full access to all Wikia. They will be shown in Special:Listusers/staff on any wiki. Please use Special:Contact to contact Wikia staff.

Abilities

These additional functions include:

  • Deleting and undeleting pages, page histories, and uploaded files.
  • Locking (protecting) a page so it cannot be edited or renamed by users without admin rights or autoconfirmed status.
  • Blocking IP addresses or user names from editing; and very quick "rollback" of undesirable edits.
  • Editing the interface by changing system messages and skins.
