Recommended Fleet
Very strong, but also costly fleets. The biggest threat is the Re-class en route.
- 4-6BB(V)/CV(L), 0-2CA(V)
- Route = B K P S
- Use your strongest ships (Yamato-class, night carriers, or armored carrier with jets). Since the firepower cap is lifted to 220, the difference between Yamato class and other ships is substantial.
- If you really want to use Nagato special attack, middle route should be a more reasonable choice.
- 4BB(V)/CV(L), 2DD
- Route = B F J P S
- The enemy en route is almost the same as the previous comp.
- LoS required: ≥ 81 (Cn2)
- Using more than 4BB(V)/CV(L) or 1 SS(V) gives a 35% chance of off-routing to node Q
- F is a choice node. For the above fleet, routing to J is recommended as D is a maelstrom node, and fleet comp will route to P after H anyway.
- CAVs can help provide additional fighter power, allowing for optimized set-ups on CVs. Mogami Kai Ni Toku can launch opening torpedo, Maya Kai Ni (or Atlanta Kai)has powerful AACI.
- Ise Kai Ni & Hyuuga Kai Ni are good option to get additional fighter power, however, they are weaker in terms of firepower compared to most BBs.
- SPB should not be used in smaller slots due to the potential presence of multiple Light Cruiser Tsu-Class along this route.
- 6SS(not recommended)
- Random offrouting, low chance of reaching the boss node or killing the boss(even if there is Wo-kai comp). The only advantage is the low resource cost. If you have 6 ringed submarines with reinforced expansion(which can equip submarine radars, enable them to launch powerful night CI), and you have a lot of time to expend, and your resource really matters, you can try this comp one or two times each day, and you may clear the map on the end of the month.
- 2(F)BB(V), 2DD, 1CA(V), 1CLT/CA(V)
- Route = B F D H N O S
- LoS required: ≥ 67 (Cn2)
- Easier preboss, but will struggle against the double Re Elite boss node formations.
- Node D is a maelstrom node that wipes out your fuel. Recommended to bring some radars to reduce the loss.
- The best way to kill the Re-class and the boss is Nagato special attack. Equip Nagato Kai Ni with two of your best guns (The firepower should be as high as possible, such as 46cm Triple Gun Mount Kai and Prototype 51cm Twin Cannon), one radar and one AP shell. Mutsu Kai Ni should also follow this pattern, but it's recommended to give Nagato 46 or 51cm guns to make her range VL in order to attack first. Since enemy ships have really high firepower, it's important to keep initiative.
- Elimininate two enemy destroyers(and possibly one Tsu-class CL) before the Nagato attack is very important to make sure that the three powerful hits are not wasted on those cannon-fodders. So it's recommended to use boss support or take other measurements. For support, accuracy is more important than firepower. It's also possible to use a 4CA2DD support to reduce resource consumption(the CA should reach 123 firepower to make sure that enemy destroyers can be killed in Head-on).
- Nagato+Mutsu+2CAV+2DD grants air parity on node H. One of the CAV should be Mogami Kai Ni Toku for opening torpedo attack.
- Nagato+Mutsu+1CL+1CLT+2DD enables powerful opening torpedo attacks which can eliminate the destroyers on the boss. But this comp is somewhat unstable on node H.
- 3(F)BB(V)/CV(B), 2DD, 1AO
- Route = B F D H N O S
- Nagato+Mutsu+1CVB+1AO+2DD(recommended): Very versatile and strong comp. The only recommended AO is Souya (AGB) which can equip armor plates to greatly improve survivability. The CVB should equip 3 jets if possible(to improve firepower to 220 cap, to get air parity on node H, and to kill enemy destroyers). The rest slot is for Saiun for preventing Red T(it's possible to kill the boss with this comp even in Head-on), and contribute to LoS.
- About LOS: For Souya jet comp, it's not difficult to fullfil the LOS requirement. For the rest comps, LOS requirement is a burden. Tashkent Kai with some radars should work well. Equiping the BB with seaplanes really does not worth it, since this significantly reduce the damage of Nagato attack.
- About Destroyers: OASW can help you on node B as well as the boss node. Tashkent can equip 2 torpedoes and 2 ASW equipments for both OASW and TCI. Fletcher Mk.II has similar function with two torpedoes and one ASW equipment. If you cannot reach air parity on node H, you can bring one Akizuki-class destroyer for AACI.
- After the gauge is cleared, the boss composition will be significantly nerfed except the submarine was replaced by a stronger one. One destroyer should equip one sonar, one depth charge projector and one depth charge to maximize OASW damage.
- 2(F)BB(V)/CV(L), 4DD
- 2(F)BB(V)/CV(L), 2XX, 2DD (XX can't be (F)BB(V)/CV(L))
- Route = Route = A C E G I M O S
- LoS required: ≥ 67 (Cn2)
- The first battle is a relatively easy enemy torpedo squadron, but the next two battles are fairly dangerous Night Nodes.
- Pre-boss support shelling expeditions can help stabilize the night battles significantly.
- Fleets that take this route will struggle significantly against the double Re Elite boss node formations.
- Lower bauxite consumption when compared to other routes.
- In event time, use vanguard formation if possible.
