Tips

On this map, no matter which path you'll take you will be hitting a maelstrom node. It is recommended to have some radars equipped on 1 to 3 ships to minimize the loss of your fuel while you travel through this map.

  • This is also an excellent map to farm Mutsu for her 41 cm guns to upgrade equipment.


Recommended Fleets

  • 1BB(V)/CVL, 1 CV, 2CA(V)/CLT/AV, 2DD
  • Route = A C G M
    • Quickest path in the north route. Most enemies won't be a threat, except for G which will have some carriers and Ru-class BBs, but having a properly trained fleet should help bypass this node with minimal issue.
  • 2CV, 1BB/CVL, 1XX, 2DD, (XX = AV, CA(V) or CLT)
  • Route = A C E G M
    • Stronger fleet, but that pass through an extra node.

  • 1BB(V)/CVL, 2CA(V), 1CL, 2DD
  • Route = A B F J K M
    • Going the bottom path to the boss, will save bauxite cost, but will cost more fuel and ammo along with possible buckets due to the number of encounters you'll face.
    • CA(V) can be replaced with CLT

Furniture Coin Box Farming

Collecting Furniture Coins in the South route requires a light fleet:

  • 3CVL, 2DD, 1CA(V)/CLT
  • Route = A B D
  • Route = A B F H
  • This fleet should be strong enough to help you survive the battles on the way to Nodes D and H, to get Furniture Coin Boxes, however, there is a chance you'll avoid both nodes. In this case, consider retreating once you hit Node K, or reset before it.
