*Is based on the route taken by the convoy of LST's in their journey towards Lyme Bay where Exercise Tiger was supposed to culminate. Instead it lead to an engagement with a squadron of German E-Boats that ended up as the Battle of Lyme Bay where almost 800 people were lost along with several LST's sunk and damaged.

*This is probably RAF Welford Air, which is the home of both RAF and USAAF units from 1943 till the end of the war. RAF Welford is also a launch point of several C-47's and Horsa Gliders that took part in the Normandy Campaign.
