Introduction
大型艦用パッシブソナー兵装です。 九三式水中聴音機の捕音機を増強した大型グレードアップバージョンで、大和型戦艦のバルバス・バウ付近にも装備されました。 専門の人員も配置して水面下の音を収集、敵潜などの早期発見に努めます。
Passive SONAR for large ships. Upgrade version of the Type 93 Passive SONAR by enlarging the sound collector, it was also equipped on Yamato class ships within their bulbous bow. They had specialized personnel on the machine constantly listening, it made efforts for fast recognition of any enemy submarines.

A complete upgrade of Type 3 SONAR, but can't be equipped by Destroyers, Light Cruisers, Torpedo Cruisers, and Practice Cruisers.
