米国で開発・運用された対艦及び対空戦闘に対応できる両用砲兵装に射撃レーダーを組み合わせた強力な対空兵装です。<br>
本装備は、薬莢形式を採用して連射性を向上した5inch連装両用報を集中運用、さらに射撃レーダーと連動することで高い<br>
艦隊防空能力を実現しました。Atlanta級などに装備され、第三次ソロモン海戦では夜戦の殴り合いも経験しています。
A dual-purpose gun developed and deployed by the United States combined with a fire-control RADAR that is capable of surface and anti-air combat. It is a powerful anti-aircraft weapon.<br>
This equipment is a concentrated deployment of the twin-mounted 5" guns that adopted a new type of ammunition to improve fire rate.<br>
It has also been combined with a fire-control RADAR to increase it's fleet air defence power.<br>
It was equipped on the Atlanta-class that experienced that brawl during the Naval Battle of Guadalcanal.
