高性能艦上戦闘機として開発が進められたF4U、戦闘爆撃機として優れた発展性を持つ本機の強化改良戦闘爆撃機である各バージョンは、<br>
大戦後も航空母艦で運用され、マルチロールな活躍ぶりを発揮、戦闘爆撃機として長い間現役を務めます。<br>
本機は戦後フランス海軍のために再設計され、実際に同海軍で運用されたF4Uシリーズの最終型ともいえる後期発展型です。
The F4U was developed as a high-performance carrier-based fighter. <br>
Since it showed great potential as a fighter/bomber, improvements and upgrades have produced several variants have allowed this aircraft to have a long service as a fighter/bomber.<br>
This unit was re-designed for the French Navy after the war. This late-model can be said to be the final F4U variant ever operated by the French Navy.
