Kancolle - Sapphire Special Force (Japanese: 艦これ ~ サファイア特殊部隊, Hepburn: Kankore ~ Safaia Tokushu Butai, also known as Kancolle - The Sapphire Project by the English title of the project code) is a Japanese/English light novel series written by Minhfongboy and illustrated by UnionBread and Kuneamorai. The story mainly focuses around ShigureShigure Kai San and her friTashkent Kai

Michishio Kai Ni, the shipgirls living in the homeport at Brunei Anchorage, with their adventure of forming a special force to protect the admiral and people around the island, which includes the home port. As the adventure goes on, the theme of the story eventually gets darker as they encounter more life-and-death situations from outside factors, or even the organization they are working for, the Abyssal Creature Elimination, or ACE for short.

The draft version of the novel was first published in 2018 as part of an internal fanfic project. The novel was then finally published as a digital light novel from 2023 to help reach more audience and players in general.
