When traversing through the Surigao Strait portion of the map (Nodes W,Y,Z7,Z8,Z9, ZZ1, and ZZ2) it is '''Highly Recommended''' to use the '''vanguard formation''' to make it through the night battle section of this map.
As several cases have shown that well trained ships that use this formation can effectively evade damage that would otherwise do heavy damage to thier fleet in this map.
