Based on the dev notes, the saury from this event will expire at the end of the event. And if you cannot decide on what to do with the Saury, you have the option to cook Kabayaki and obtain canned saury which you can cook later once the event is over.

Based on the dev notes, the saury from the [[Seasonal/Saury 2015|Saury Fishing Seasonal Event]] will expire at the end of the event (Oct. 30, 2015). One option, requiring seven Saury, is to cook the Kabayaki recepie and obtain Canned Saury, which you can cook later (I.E. after the event is over).

Canned Saury can also be equipped and used in the same way as battle rations as its effects are identical. The one who eats it gets a massive morale boost while kanmusus beside her (above and below her in the battle composition) get a small morale boost.
