The depicted plane is allegedly the Ki-43 Model 3B variant (did not exist/enter service as is).

The depicted plane is the Ki-43 Model III Kai variant (we do agree it is hard to tell apart from a II Otsu or a III as internals are what makes them more different). This particular plane is marked similarly to the ones used 65th Sentai based in Metabaru Airbase from August 1945.
