==Trivia==
*This particular SBD Dauntless is part of the Scouting Squadron 2 (VS-2). These squadrons are mainly used for recon and later on Anti-Submarine operations, such squadron designations are still in use today but are now named as Sea Control Squadrons. This particular plane was flown by Lt. John Leppla and Radionman 3rd Class John Liska. John Leppla is famous for his actions with his Dauntless dive bomber that shot down 4 Japanese planes while John Liska shot down 3 Japanese planes for a total credit of 7 for this particular plane.
