艦載用対空電探の戦訓を活かした改良後期型です。<br>比較的信頼性も高く、小型軽量で駆逐艦等への装備も可能だった「13号対空電探」に、第一線の駆逐艦等で運用された戦訓を盛り込み、現場と技術者達がさらに改良を加えたif改良小型対空電探です。<br>水雷戦隊の眼として活躍します。
