Hatsushimo is notably selfless and humble, talking about other ships (though none in particular) or the navy on whole in her MVP, Docking, Sortie Start and Sinking lines. Her Moderate Damage artwork and dialogue show a somewhat different side, however, with Hatsushimo much angrier-looking and determined not to sink. This is perhaps a reference to her very late wreckage in real life, surviving even the suicide mission Ten-Gō. Hatsushimo Kai Ni gains a blue hachimaki along with a new (piped) blazer. In this outfit she's forgone her tie, rolled up her sleeves and appears to have followed in the example of [[Yahagi]] and [[Yamato]] (two of her Operation Ten-Gō comrades), wearing one thigh-high sock on the left leg and her usual on the right. Unlike her real-life counterpart, she's kept her single-turret 12.7cm gun, but a 25mm gun (to represent many, many mounted on the ship herself) has been installed along with a [[Type 13 Air RADAR|Type 13 RADAR]] affixed to the mainmast. Expectedly enough, her second design on whole appears to reflect the Hatsushimo as she served in Operation Ten-Gō.
