A land-based twin-engined bomber developed by the US and operated by both the USN and US Army Air Corps.</br>
Easy to operate, sturdy and with a large bomb carrying capacity, it was introduced to theatres all over Europe and the Pacific.</br>
It could effectively engage surface ships using the dreaded skip bombing technique that skips bombs across the water like a stone.
