* Wreck located 16 February 2009 in 800 meters (2,625 feet) of water off Barbers Point, Oahu, Hawaii. She is in two pieces; the bow lies on its port side, neatly sheared off from the main hull, which sits upright at a 45-degree angle. The aft retractable deck gun is bent, but visible, with the forward gun visible through its opening in the main deck. Much of the wood planking on the main deck still exists. Her conning tower markings, consisting of her name (I-201), the Imperial Japanese Navy battle flag, and a chrysanthemum painted on the side of the periscope mast, are still clearly visible.
