Introduction

「九七艦攻」の後継機として開発された艦上攻撃機「天山」その改良後期型に、機上電探空六号の改良調整型と電波高度計などの夜間作戦機材を装備した、夜間雷撃可能な新型夜間作戦艦上攻撃機です。

Developed as the successor to the "Type 97 Torpedo Bomber", the "Tenzan", with this improved, late-war model coming equipped with a tuned-up Type 6 Airborne RADAR and a radio altimeter for nighttime operations, being a carrier-based torpedo bomber capable of performing night attacks.

Mechanics

Torpedo Bombers/ are one of the main types of plane used by CV(B/L). Their main role is to do damage during the Airstrike, with their "Torpedo" stat being the most important factor in this regard. Torpedo Bombers are additionally needed for dealing damage during day Shelling, especially for Aircraft Carrier Cut-Ins (CVCI).

• They can trigger Contact.
• They are vulnerable to shoot down during most Aerial Combat phases.

Night Aircraft are planes that contribute to Carrier Night Air Attack damage.

• Only Night Fighters and Night Torpedo Bombers are capable of actually enabling the Carrier Night Attacks.
