''The "Shiden" is a short-range fighter developed from the Kyoufuu seaplane fighter.<br>The configuration of the wings was shifted from mid-fuselage to the bottom.<br>Upgrades were made to the automatic combat flaps, armor, and various systems.<br>This is an early model of the "Shiden Kai" with abilities that surpassed the Type Zero fighter, it formed the cornerstone of the IJN's homeland air defenses.
