: She has below average combat and survivability stats. Unlike other destroyers, she is also slow. This can potentially cause problems with routing but can be fixed with a Reinforcement Expansion. Where she shines is her high ASW stat and ability to perform OASW by default at Kai. Although she has high luck, she doesn't have the combat ability to take advantage of it.

:A famed US destroyer escort, she is somehow implemented as a DD in game, meaning that her stats are on the level of a [[Mutsuki]]-class ship's first remodel.

:However, her ASW stat is very good and allows her to perform OASW easily, and once remodeled she can also perform OASW attacks innately, albeit those won't do much unless she has actual ASW gear on her.

 

:Do keep in mind that she is the only in-game destroyer with Slow speed, which can potentially cause problems with routing. (A single [[Improved Steam Turbine]] can fix that, though.)

:Her base luck of 40 is good, allowing for mildly reliable cut-in attacks at night. However, her stat distributions means said attacks will not be able to hit hard.
