She sits upright and is well preserved at a depth of 6460 m (21180 ft) and was originally the world's deepest discovered wreck until June 2022 when USS Samuel B. Roberts was found at a depth of 6985 m (22621 ft). Parks revealed that Johnston's wreck lies not too far from Samuel B. Roberts when he replied to Zeco's tweet about hoping Sam's isn't too lonely.
