Line 230: Line 230:
As the first Super-Dreadnought from Japan, Fusou was finished in 1915 also as the first battleship to be designed and built entirely in-house. As time went by, her design showed to be having more faults than goods despite initial high hope ("Fusou" is the ancient name for Japan itself), notably the lack of defence as a result of spreading six main turrets along center line of the ship. To cope with that she was modified and modernized times and times, leading to the distinctive-shaped main bridge which exceeded 50m in height.

Initially she was standing-by at mainland Japan during opening stage of WW2 along with Yamashiro, but as the war turned badly to Japan, she was regrouped into IJN's front line attack force and went under command of Admiral Shoji Nishimura. Her last moment was the Battle of Surigao Strait where Nishimura fleet was T-crossed by USN fleet upon breaching into Leyte Gulf, Fusou took a heavy blow and her hull split into two following the explosion of ammunition storage. The battle is said as one of most miserable casualties among IJN throughout the war.

Customizing her in-game will turn her into Aviation Battleship. This comes from a stillborn plan to turn the Fuso-class into Aviation Battleships after the loss of four carriers during the Battle of Midway.  However, the Fuso-class were withdrawn as candidates for the conversion, which instead was done on the Ise-class battleships.
