本装備は、同砲を連装砲化、さらに薬莢形式を採用して連射性を向上、<br>
これを集中配備することで艦隊防空を担当する防空艦の強力な対空兵装として運用されました。<br>
Atlanta級防空巡などに装備され、一部は夜戦の近距離砲撃戦でも使用されました。
A dual-purpose gun developed and deployed by the United States that is capable of surface and anti-air combat.<br>
This equipment is a twin-mounted version that adopted a new type of cartidge to increase it's fire rate.<br>
It is a powerful anti-air gun that was placed in a concentrated deployment on an anti-air ship for fleet air defense.<br>
It can be used for close-ranged night battles when equipped on the Atlanta-class anti-air cruisers.
