"Stars" mostly refer to the "Improvement Level" of equipment, represented in-game with stars (Improved & Max-Improved)

Stars also refer to:

  • "Equipment Rarity", with each equipment having 1 to 7 stars on its card, representing its level of rarity.
    • This system is relatively unreliable, see more details here.
  • Ships "modernization level", ranging from 1 to 5 Modernization Star.png and max Modernization Star Max.png, indicating the amount of "general modernization" a given ship has received.
  • "Map Difficulty", with each sortie map having its difficulty represented with stars.
    • There is no upper limit, with "big stars" representing 10 "small stars" each to be more compact.
    • This system is relatively unreliable, being too simplistic.
  • Furniture rarity, from 1 to 7, being cosmetic only.
  • The "Star Shell" FlareIcon.png, a night equipment with its own set of mechanics.
    • See more details here.
  • The ship drop and some reward animations show stars falling on the screen Drop Star.png.
