In November 20th, 1942, the Japanese destroyer forces lead by Rear Admiral Raizou Tanaka attempted to deliver to the Japanese forces stationed at Guadacanal, however on that night, they intercepted by several American ships that mainly consisted of Cruiser and Destroyers.
