Finished. 22 sorties, 10 boss kills, 1 failed kill, 6 retreat, 5 'accidentally closed the game' retreat (yes, dead-end after sub-node). 60 buckets used, man.
The trolls are back. Goldfishes with Fuck You torpedoes, a dead-end where you can lose hundreds of bauxite without getting anything in return if you survived the goldfishes, and Wo-midways. Screw it.
Using Kinugasa in the main fleet gives me dead-ends. Then I looked my facebook group and saw someone used CVL. Since I've used Shouhou for AL, that leaves me unremodeled Ryuujou-han as my only remaining fast CVL. Oh, did I tell you she is in her base form? But Ryuujou-han brought wonders; basically from my 4th kill to last kill, I reached the boss often. And lose less bauxite, very helpful.
The sub-node made me swap some ships. Yuubari's versatility is helpful here, even though her durability sometimes made me 'hawawawawa' (but then again, those goldfishes made me 'hawawawa' everytime they fired).
Ryuujou, Akagi, Souryuu, Kaga, Kongou, and Hiei, escorted by Yuubari, Fubuki, Hatsuyuki, Kiso, Takao, and Tone. All boss encounters made through eastern route, encircling the boss towards south-east pre-boss. Got redirected twice to the other pre-boss, simply WTF moment.
*Akagi, Kaga, and Souryuu used Ryuusei Kai - Reppuu - Reppuu - Saiun, in that order. Ryuujou used Saiun - Reppuu - Saiun. I guess the fifth Saiun is unnecesary, but whatever. This gives Air Superiority at all nodes, even the boss.
*Kongou and Hiei uses double attack setup with Type 0 Observation Seaplanes, and Type 21/13 Kai Radars. I don't know why, but those Radars seemed to help lessen the compass trolls. I should be grateful, then.
*All escort ship used double attack, and each have High-Angle Guns. Takao and Tone had mandatory Type 3 Shells. Everyone else used Sonar in their third slot. Of course, Yuubari also used a Depth Charge. All hail 4 slots!
141 effective LoS for main fleet, too overboard, I think. But the Air Supremacy/Superiority cuts the bauxite consumption and I thanked Ryuujou-han for making it possible.
Failed to kill the boss' final form once. She murdered Takao in Night Battle, and Kinugasa could only scratch her (80 or so HP remaining, WTF). Swapped Yuubari's place with Takao, and while 'hawawawa' intensified in sub-node, Takao did her job of making the Princess went into Taiha state, so the others can chip her HP low enough for Tone to finish her off (with lucky critical).
