* Her nickname is "Yuu" as U-511 and "Ro" as Ro-500.
* She was launched on the 22nd of September 1941.
* Surrendered in August 1945 and scuttled on the 30th of April 1946 in the Gulf of Maizuru.
* Wreck located in Wakasa Bay in 2018.

* She was added on the 6th of February 2015 as [[Winter 2015 Event]] E3 reward.

* The real U-511 was transferred to Japan from Nazi Germany as part of a technology exchange assistance program, and she was renamed Ro-500 after the Japanese took command of her. The vessel survived the war and was surrendered to the Allies. She was scuttled, on 30 April 1946 at Gulf of Maizuru.
