Introduction

制空権を失った空でも強行偵察が可能な高性能水偵を目指して開発された、十四試高速水上偵察機「紫雲」です。
火星エンジンと二重反転プロペラ、新機構フロート採用などで高性能な次世代水偵となるはずだった本機、熟練搭乗員が運用します。
※大淀型や重巡改装特設水上機母艦の運用では、本機材の改修を進めることで、より高い能力を発揮することが可能です。

It is the type 14 high-speed reconnaissance seaplane "Shiun" that was developed with the aim of enabling daring reconnaissance even in airspace where air superiority has been lost.
This aircraft, which was supposed to be a high-performance next-generation reconnaissance seaplane fitted with a Mars engine dual-reverse propeller, and a new float mechanism, will be operated by an experienced crew.
※When operated from the Ooyodo-class and specially converted seaplane tender from a heavy cruiser, it is possible to achieve even higher capabilities by improving this equipment.

Mechanics

Seaplanes are the main aircraft type used by non-carrier ships (mainly battleships, cruisers, and auxiliaries).

They are notably required to trigger Artillery Spotting.

Reconnaissance Aircraft Sp LB Recon are planes that:

Can trigger Contact.

Does not contribute Fighter Power in Aerial Combat, and so cannot be shot down during it (can be shot down during Detection).
When equipped to a Land Base:
- Can extend the minimum Combat Radius in Sortie Mode.
- Add a bonus multiplier to the total Defense Fighter-Power of the base in Air Defense Mode.
- Can contribute Fighter Power (if it has any Proficiency or ), and can be shot down.
