Summer 2017 Event
Introduction
The Summer 2017 Event, Crossing through the West once again! The European Rescue Operation(【西方再打通!欧州救援作戦】) is scheduled to begin on August 10th, 2017. The event will take place in the West and is a hypothetical "What If" Operation. The event will be a Large-Scale Event.
As of current, details regarding the upcoming event note that note that there will be a large and diverse variety of new ship girls which will be introduced within this event which includes Submarines, Destroyers, Aircraft Carriers and Battleships along with several recent rare foreign kanmusu from Britain, France, and Italy as well as a slew of forgien ships which will be returning as drops over the course of the event. The total number of maps invovled in this event will include 4 Main Stage Operations and 3 Extra Operations, overall making 7 Event Maps in total.

New Ships
The following details have been revealed from Dev Tweets, Comptiq Magazine and the Zuiun Festival
Total Ships to appear
September Comptiq Magazine revealed that a total of 7 Ships will be appearing in this event.
It has been confirmed that a new CV, BB, and DD will be available from this event[1].
Destroyers
- Currently it's known that there will be a total of 3 Destroyers that will appear in the event.
- Dev Tweets reveal that one of these Destroyers worked along side Harukaze as part of Destroyer Division 5, and her final mission she worked along side Shigure.
- Mentioned Destroyer from Tweet is going to be a reward for completing the Second Main Operation.[2]
- Hints suggest she will be the Kamikaze-class Destroyer Hatakaze
- Two other destroyers are shown in Comptiq Magazine that show silhouettes next to what's suspected to be Hatakaze.
- Suggestion point that it could be either Yuugumo-class or Ayanami-Class Destroyers.
Possible Submarines
- The Zuiun Festival revealed Foreign Submarine will be appearing as a drop in the event.
- September Comptiq Magazine revealed that the one of foreign ship would later be handed over to the IJN.
- This likely suggest the Italian Submarine Comandante Cappelinni or Luigi Torelli
Battleships
- September Comptiq Magazine revealed that a foreign Battleship would be the prize for completing the Entire Main Operation Maps
- It's belived given the revealed nationalities to appear this event, the battleship will likely be French.
Aircraft Carrier
- During the Zuiun Festival, a Silhouette of the New Aircraft Carrier was shown at the live event.
- Name of the foreign CV was announced, however it was only announced via lip movement. The first part of the lip movement was an "A" or "HA" sound, but the rest is undecipherable.
- Comptiq Magazine Revealed that the Carrier in question was able to use British SwordFish Bombers.
- Mentioned Aircraft Carrier will be the Final Reward for completing all the Extra Operations.
- Current hint point lean to the Brisith Aircraft Carrier Ark Royal
Unknown
- A New ship is expected to make her appearance in E-1 based on dev tweet information.
Known Returning Rare Ships
- Many foreign ships such as Warspite, Graf Zeppelin and Aquila are confirmed to be returning for admirals who do not own them and can be found in some of the later operations.
- September's Comptiq Magazine reveals that some foreign ships will appear in can be farmed multiple times while others are restricted.
- Dev Tweets have noted that Yamakaze will be obtainable as a drop on E-1.
New Equipment
June's Rank Rewards revealed two planes which served as a hint regarding about one of the ships appearing in the upcoming event.

Mechanics
Participation requirements
- Must have a 75% sortie win ratio.
- Must have 5 empty ship slots for new ships.
- Must have 20 free equipment slots.
Special Mechanics
- The difficulty system first used in Spring 2015 Event returns: you can choose between Operation A (甲, Hard), Operation B (乙, Medium) or Operation C (丙, Easy).
- Choosing A or B requires certain HQ Level (HQ Lv 35 for B / 80 for A in Spring 2015 Event).
- An important note to all Admirals intending to clear the event on Hard difficulty - further (new) conditions now apply:
- When switching difficulty from any other difficulty to Hard, the map's debuff mechanism (where applicable) will be reset.
- Switching between any other difficulties will not reset the debuff mechanism.
- When switching difficulty from any other difficulty to Hard, the map's debuff mechanism (where applicable) will be reset.
- The debuff system from Summer 2015 Event's final map, where certain nodes had to be killed to reduce boss armor will return.
