- Her name means "Blizzard" or "Snow storm"
- Sunk in the Battle of Cape Esperance on October 11, 1942
- Main character of the kancolle manga Fubuki Ganbarimasu
- A lead ship of her class, Fubuki and her sisters (including Akatsuki and Ayanami-class) were among the most powerful destroyers in the world when introduced.
- Received her Kai Ni on January 9th 2015
