Equipment Bonuses

Revision as of 08:52, 9 February 2021 by Arill (talk | contribs) (Removed outdated fit tables)

Equipment Bonuses refer to specific ship + equipment combos that trigger special effects, modifying specific stats with values referred to as "Fit Bonuses". These are displayed in the game by a ↑+ symbol in front of each applicable stat.

These bonuses should not be confused with the hidden Accuracy Fit Bonuses, generally exclusive to gun mounts.

Fit Bonus Specifics

Although displayed in the game, some Fit Bonuses have an erroneous effect or outright don't work.

As of 9 February 2021, the following Fit Bonuses present issues:

Completely functional

These Fit Bonuses present no issues in any regard:

  •   Range.
  •   Evasion.
  •   Armor.

Partially functional

These Fit Bonuses have at least one situation in which they don't work as intended:

  •   Firepower: Does not apply for Night Carrier Attacks (CVNCI)[1] (it still applies to shelling attacks performed by carriers, however)[2].
    • Does not apply for Swordfish series on Ark Royal, regardless of the night attack[3].
    • Bonus visible Firepower from recon planes does not work on Carriers.
  •   Torpedo: Does not apply for Night Carrier Attacks (CVNCI)[4], Carrier Day-time Shelling attacks[5] and Opening Airstrike[6]
  •   Anti-Submarine: Does not increase ASW shelling damage[7][8], as well as Night Carrier Attacks (CVNCI) [9]
    • However, still contributes to reaching the OASW threshold[10], specifically for ships that require 100 ASW (ships that require 65 ASW to OASW do not get any advantage from Fit Bonuses[11]).
  •   LoS: Reconnaissance Aircraft bonuses count as ship LoS and not equipment, for routing purposes[12].
    • All other LoS sources such as Radars do not contribute for any calculation[13]

Completely broken

These fits have no effect in any circumstances:

  •   Anti-Air: Works under no circumstances[14][15][16]. Bonus granted to aircraft does not contribute to Air Power[17]
  •   Accuracy: Does not work under any circumstances, as Accuracy is a derived stat.[18]
