|Note0 = Mutsu was named after the Mutsu province and was part of the big 7 battleships (Nagato, herself, UK battleships, Nelson and Rodney and the US battleships, Colorado, Maryland and West Virginia), hence her introduction. She was sunk when a fire in her third gun turret caused an explosion (see above).
