A high degree of fatigue can be seen as an actual lack of morale. Ships with enough rest will have a morale value of 49. A value above 50 is commonly known as the "Sparkle" effect.
Morale regenerates at 3 points every 3 minutes (like Fuel, Steel and Ammo) and this regeneration is capped at 49 points, where it will simply stop regenerating.

<strike>Morale alone DOES NOT affect if your ships will sink or not, only the state of damage they are in when engaging (e.g, A ship with light/medium damage regardless of morale will always survive). However, given the performance cut they get from fatigue, it is not advisable to take them to battle like that in general.</strike>

Fatigue has '''nothing''' to do with sinking. Tested and proven in many videos across the internet.

===Running 1-1 solo===
===Running 1-1 solo===
By doing a World 1-1 full run, your flagship will have a net morale gain of +13.
Assume that your flagship obtained S rank MVP in both nodes, and did not enter any night battle, it will be as follow:
New morale value
*= X +10 + 3 + 1 + 10 + 3 + 1 -15
*= X + 28 -15
Just doing the first node will result in -1 morale, even if you perfect S rank it without a night battle. (-15 + 13 + 1 = -1)
*= X + 13
Just doing the first node will result in -1 morale, even if you perfect S rank it without a night battle.
(-15 + 13 + 1 = -1)
===Day Battle S Victory in Exercises===
===Day Battle S Victory in Exercises===
By getting an S rated victory in PvP exercises (all enemy ships reduced to 1 HP and unable to participate in further battle) without engaging in night battle, it is possible to give an entire fleet of ships the "sparkle" effect.
By obtaining a battle rank S in PVP, and not entering night battle, your flagship will receive a net morale gain of +14, while your non-flagship ships(escorts) will receive a morale gain of +1.
New morale value for flagship
*= X +10 + 3 + 1
*= X + 14
Ships fully rested will have a morale of 49, by obtaining the +1 morale from battle rank S, their morale will become 50, which produces sparkle effect.
If the battle continued into the night battle, it will become
+1 -1 = ±0 for your escorts, which mean no morale gain.
