用兵側の発動機選定ミスや多忙な現場設計陣などの苦境を越えて、ついに完成した新型艦戦。本航空隊は同新鋭機材を定数受領して、再建を目指す空母機動部隊、その戦闘機部隊の中核を担います。
The Reppuu is a state of the art, carrier-borne fighter designed to replace the "Zero" fighter. Despite difficulties in engine selection, preoccupied design teams and factories, this new type of carrier-borne fighter was finally completed. This new fighter will form the backbone of carrier air groups of rebuilt carrier task groups.

Quest reward from F15. Note that any upgrades on the Zero Fighter Type 52 Model C (601 Air Group) will carry over to the Reppuu (601); it is therefore highly recommended that you fully upgrade the Zero 52C (601) before you complete F15.
