Introduction

巧みな操縦技術を持つ岩井小隊長を擁する「零式艦上戦闘機52型丙」装備の艦戦隊です。
「52型丙」では、敵新型機に対抗するため、火力及び防御力が強化されました。
その分機動性は若干低下していますが、熟練搭乗員の巧みな操縦技術でカバーします。

A carrier-based squadron equipped with "Type 52 Model C Zero Fighters" commanded by the skilled squadron commander Iwai.
The firepower and armor of the "Type 52C" were upgraded in order to counter new enemy planes.
Although the maneuverability suffered slightly, it can be covered by the skilled piloting of the pilots.

Mechanics

Fighters / are one of the main types of plane used by CV(B/L). Their main role is to bring Air Power during the 1st Aerial Stage, with their "Fighter Power" stat being the most important factor in this regard. Fighters are additionally needed for Aircraft Carrier Cut-Ins (CVCI) during the day Shelling.

They can be used in Land Bases to serve the same role as Interceptors.

Any Improvement the Zero Fighter Type 52 (Skilled) may have will carry over to the Zero Fighter Model 52C (w/ Iwai Flight) given by quest F26.

Any Improvement the Zero Fighter Model 52C (w/ Iwai Flight) may have will carry over to the Zero Fighter Model 62 (Fighter-bomber / Iwai Squadron) given by quest F27.
