Tips

Be advised: The Developers have mentioned that the composition and map will change over time, this may even include the resource node possibly. So take advantage of the map while it is possible.

Regarding Land-Based Air Squadrons

  • 1 LBAS is available to sortie.
    • It is highly recommended to use the LBAS to help simplify the battle on the boss node for this map.
    • It is recommended to bring Land-Based Attackers, land-based ASW bombers 
       
      , and fighters, to increase effectiveness on the Boss.
    • The LBAS range needed to reach the boss is 2, other nodes' range being equal or higher.
  • This map is also the best location to train all land-based planes to max-proficiency ❱❱ . Bring only planes with a range of at least 3 (7 for furthest nodes) as they will reach submarine Nodes on B, C, J, and K.

Recommended Fleets

This guide will go over the events of this map in the recommended sequential order upon unlocking quest B175.

Reach Node O

Quest B175 requires to reach node O:

  • 1-6SS(V)
  • Route = C D F J K M O
    • The LoS needed is about 32 (Cn3).
    • Several   Seaplanes or   Submarine Radars might be needed to have enough LoS to route from M to O.
    • Submarines will face little to no threat along the way.

Sink the Hi Convoy Princess P

In this part, it is recommended to use the LBAS to clear the map more easily, as this will give the necessary edge needed to fight against the boss. While the boss is not strong, she is very tanky and is escorted by a fleet that may be troublesome to wipe.

  • 0-1BBV, 1CVL, 1CA/CL, 3-4DD/DE
  • Route = A B E J L P
  • LBAS Node P: Range = 2
    • Allows bringing a strong fleet to the boss.
    • Fleet will go through 2 Submarine Nodes, 1 Air Node, and 2 Surface/Submarine Nodes.
    • Node J can especially be problematic due to it featuring 3 Submarine So-Class Flagship , but will become even more dangerous on Last Dance with the enemy fleet in line ahead formation.
  • It is recommended to bring:
    • Ships that can effectively OASW to survive the submarines.
    • An Ise-class Kai Ni 
       
      and a CVE to help clearing while having AS.
    • An AACI for node E as well as the boss.
    • At least 1 TCI capable DD.
    • If possible, ships that can take on multiple roles.
  • The boss does not have a lot of planes, bringing enough airpower and AACI can effectively deplane her, rendering her defenseless.
  • LBAS should use a combination of Fighter, Bombers, and ASW Bombers to effectively help with clearing the boss.
  • Last Dance comp will buff the DDs and CL in her fleet along with giving her additional airpower.
    • Bring additional airpower as a countermeasure to effectively beat her.

"Torpedo Squadron": 1CL (flagship), 4DD, 1CLT

  • Route = C E J L P
  • LBAS Node P: Range = 2
    • This solution requires more advanced gears, and might be out of reach of new players. It is required to bring an   FCF capable CL as flagship, preferably an Agano-class Kai+, equipped with:
    • It also requires at least 5 OASW along with married DDs to allow them to do TCI while enabling their OASW with sonar alone.
    • If you meet all of the above requirements, this is the cheapest (for resource) and the best comp for farming boss node, having the highest pass rate thanks to the usage of ETSCF in case a ship got heavily damaged.
    • The Evacuation mechanic of the ETSCF should be used if needed, as long as the routing is maintained.
      • C - E route is secured if you have 4 DDs in the fleet.
      • The boss routing is secured as long as the fleet LoS is above 37 Cn4.
    • Do note that the Night Zuiun will likely be shot down completely due to fighting under AI and the presence of CL Tsu-Class .

This fleet is not recommended as it is very weak and will struggle to kill the boss, but can be enough if only an A rank is required.

  • 1CT, 1DD / 1 Taiyou-class CVE

  • Route = A B E J P
  • LBAS Node P: Range = 2
    • This map has a special routing for Taiyou-class CVE 
       
       
      , who can be brought when using light fleet to get more firepower. It is a cheap but weak fleet.
    • Will go through, 1 Submarine Node, 1 Air Node, and 1 Surface/Submarine Node.
    • Not recommended due to the risks this map presents to fleets with a lack of strong combat-effective ships.
    • Dependent on the DD or CVE to score the kill against the boss.
    • DEs will take on OASW.
    • The CT will mainly do Surface Combat.
    • The DD will do a TCI, CVE should do night carrier cut in attack.
    • Node E and P may be troublesome due to a lack of air defense.
    • LBAS should focus on removing the surface ships to make scoring the kill against the Boss more likely.
    • The DD or CVE needs to avoid taking too much damage to effectively kill the boss.

  • Depending on how the LBAS is setuped:
    • Line ahead is recommended if the LBAS can effectively kill the enemy SS.

Doing this farming will bring a lot of "losses", which can impact overall win rate and thus "event eligibility".

    • LoS required: ≥ 32 (Cn3)
  • A maximum of   Amphibious Vehicles should be used as they provide the best earnings for submarines.
    •   Drum Canister-capable SS are recommended as a substitute, increasing the resource gains without requiring more Amphibious Vehicles.
    • The   gain cap being relatively low, it will be capped by using only 10   or 4   + 8  .
    • It is not possible to reach the   gain cap with a submarine only fleet.
  • To meet the LoS requirement, using   Seaplanes and/or   Submarine Radars may be required.
  • While this map has little to no threat against a full submarine fleet, J will have rare instances where destroyers may pop up in the composition that will damage the SS. Please be aware of this while farming this map.
    • Do not consider farming during Boss Last Dance, as J will be locked on this 2 Destroyer composition.

It is possible to farm for LBAS Plane Proficiency ❱❱ by sending the LBAS on a submarine node like J or K.

  • Just set-up an LBAS with any planes, according the final range is enough to reach J or K (3 range each).
    • Sending a surface-focused LBAS on J can assure a safer path. Such runs consume little to no resources on the LBAS.
