Tips

• This is an anti-submarine operation, where the use of ships capable of OASW is highly recommended.
• Node G however, is a surface battle against an enemy torpedo squadron.
• Use of Light/Torpedo Cruisers and Destroyers capable of using OASW, either from reaching high enough ASW stat or from having built-in OASW capabilities is highly recommended.
• Use of DE is an option as well, but due to their poor firepower and defensive stats, they may have trouble surviving Node G.
• Using 6 ships will cause fleets to route to Node B.

Recommended Fleets

• 1CL, 4DD or 1CL, 1DD, 3DE (exactly 5 ships, no more)
  • Route (fixed) = D E G H K
  • Use of a Light Cruiser capable of opening attacks against surface ships is an option for Node G.
    • Opening Torpedo Salvo.
    • Opening airstrike via Seaplane Bombers.
  • Bringing Destroyers capable of OASW is highly advised.
    • If the ASW stat is high enough to reach OASW without three equipment, or if the ship has built-in OASW capability, mixing surface combat equipment and ASW equipment together can help stabilize the surface battle at Node G.

Fleets that have only 4 ships :

• e.g 3CLT, 1CL / 2CL, 2CLT / 4DD/DE, etc...)
• Can also reach the Boss Node, but have a chance to off-route into dead-ends instead (I or J).

Tips

Once the map has been cleared for the month, the enemy composition for the second boss (Node M) will be locked to the easiest comp (Formation 1), which contains Nu-class elite, Ne-class base, and Tsu-class base, until the next reset.

Phase 1: Eliminate the Submarine Fleet

• The submarine boss fleet will usually consist of 3 SS, 1 Transport, and 2 DDs.
  • Defeat the flagship of the submarine fleet 3 times to open up the path to the 2nd phase of the map (A ranks can be enough).

Recommended Fleet

• 1CVL (preferably CVE), 3DD
• 1CL, 3DD
• 2CVL, 3DE
• 4DD/DE
• Route = C E G
  • Fleet will need to be ASW-focused, however, if requiring S ranks (3 "S ranks" are required for Bq8), using 1-2 ships with ASW/combat hybrid set-ups can be helpful.
    • Having 1 or more OASW ships is recomanded.
  • If having Suzuya Kou Kai Ni or Kumano Kou Kai Ni, their unique targeting ability may be useful as well (focusing surface ships instead of SS).

Phase 2: Eliminate the Carrier Fleet

Boss Fleet consists of a Wo Flagship Kai along with a Nu-class Elite, Flagship or Flagship Kai variant, a Ne-class elite CA, a Tsu-class, and some DDs.

• Carefully managing the fleet's air power with strong planes can help either achieve AS or AP.
  • Using an AACI DD might be helpful for minimizing possible damage taken.
• Defeat the flagship of the Carrier fleet 4 times to complete the map.

Recommended Fleet

1FBB, 1CV, 1CVL, 1CAV, 2DD (fast)

• Route = B C D I M
  • Having a slow fleet will add an extra battle on Node H.
  • Most battles will involve surface fleets including DD, CL, and some CA.
    • Having some ASW capability can help on node C.
  • Using an FBB can make getting up to the boss node relatively easier, but the fleet will need to be all fast to reach the boss node.
  • LoS required: ≥ 69 (Cn4)

Tips

This map featured historical routings for use Kamikaze, Haguro, Ashigara.

• Kamikaze is the key historical ship for this map and required in order to avoid node M which features CA Ri-Class that can potentially harm "lighter ships".
  • She can be dropped on this map to get better routings later.
• The number of historical ships being presented in the fleet heavily affects the routing taken. Increasing the speed of the fleet to Fast+ or more can help reduce the number of historical ships required to go the shortest route (See below).

Phase 1

• This is a light fleet phase where the boss is a fleet of 5 enemy destroyers. The boss in this phase is DD Ro-Class Late Model, who will turn into Late Model Elite form in the Final Kill (reverted to Late Model form again once this phase is cleared).

  • Not having Haguro may add extra nodes.

Phase 2

• This phase requires to kill a much heavier enemy fleet than Phase 1 featuring CA Ne-Class Elite as the boss. In the final kill, the boss comp will feature 6 enemies in total, and will revert back to 5-enemy comp once the map is cleared.
• It is possible to clear this phase by either using a fleet of 5 ships or 6 ships depending on what the player wants.

Be advised: The Developers have mentioned that the composition and map will change over time, this may even include the resource node possibly. So take advantage of the map while it is possible.

Regarding Land-Based Air Squadrons

• 1 LBAS is available to sortie.
  • It is highly recommended to use the LBAS to help simplify the battle on the boss node for this map.
  • It is recommended to bring Land-Based Attackers, land-based ASW bombers
    , and fighters, to increase effectiveness on the Boss.
  • The LBAS range needed to reach the boss is 2, other nodes' range being equal or higher.
• This map is also the best location to train all land-based planes to max-proficiency ❱❱ . Bring only planes with a range of at least 3 (7 for furthest nodes) as they will reach submarine Nodes on B, C, J, and K.

Recommended Fleets

This guide will go over the events of this map in the recommended sequential order upon unlocking quest B175.

Reach Node O

Quest B175 requires to reach node O:

  • The LoS needed is about 32 (Cn3).
  • Several Seaplanes or Submarine Radars might be needed to have enough LoS to route from M to O.
  • Submarines will face little to no threat along the way.

Sink the Hi Convoy Princess P

In this part, it is recommended to use the LBAS to clear the map more easily, as this will give the necessary edge needed to fight against the boss. While the boss is not strong, she is very tanky and is escorted by a fleet that may be troublesome to wipe.

• LBAS Node P: Range = 2
  • Allows bringing a strong fleet to the boss.
  • Fleet will go through 2 Submarine Nodes, 1 Air Node, and 2 Surface/Submarine Nodes.
  • Node J can especially be problematic due to it featuring 3 Submarine So-Class Flagship, but will become even more dangerous on Last Dance with the enemy fleet in line ahead formation.

• It is recommended to bring:
  • Ships that can effectively OASW to survive the submarines.
  • An Ise-class Kai Ni
    and a CVE to help clearing while having AS.
  • An AACI for node E as well as the boss.
  • At least 1 TCI capable DD.
  • If possible, ships that can take on multiple roles.

• The boss does not have a lot of planes, bringing enough airpower and AACI can effectively deplane her, rendering her defenseless.
• LBAS should use a combination of Fighter, Bombers, and ASW Bombers to effectively help with clearing the boss.
• Last Dance comp will buff the DDs and CL in her fleet along with giving her additional airpower.
  • Bring additional airpower as a countermeasure to effectively beat her.

"Torpedo Squadron": 1CL (flagship), 4DD, 1CLT

• Route = C E J L P
• LBAS Node P: Range = 2
  • This solution requires more advanced gears, and might be out of reach of new players. It is required to bring an FCF capable CL as flagship, preferably an Agano-class Kai+, equipped with:
    • 2 Main Guns,
    • 1 Prototype Night Zuiun (Attack Equipment),
    • And the ETSCF Elite Torpedo Squadron Command Facility (preferably in the RE).
  • It also requires at least 5 OASW along with married DDs to allow them to do TCI while enabling their OASW with sonar alone.
  • If you meet all of the above requirements, this is the cheapest (for resource) and the best comp for farming boss node, having the highest pass rate thanks to the usage of ETSCF in case a ship got heavily damaged.
  • The Evacuation mechanic of the ETSCF should be used if needed, as long as the routing is maintained.
    • C - E route is secured if you have 4 DDs in the fleet.
    • The boss routing is secured as long as the fleet LoS is above 37 Cn4.
  • Do note that the Night Zuiun will likely be shot down completely due to fighting under AI and the presence of CL Tsu-Class.

This fleet is not recommended as it is very weak and will struggle to kill the boss, but can be enough if only an A rank is required.

  • This map has a special routing for Taiyou-class CVE
    
    , who can be brought when using light fleet to get more firepower. It is a cheap but weak fleet.
  • Will go through, 1 Submarine Node, 1 Air Node, and 1 Surface/Submarine Node.
  • Not recommended due to the risks this map presents to fleets with a lack of strong combat-effective ships.
  • Dependent on the DD or CVE to score the kill against the boss.
  • DEs will take on OASW.
  • The CT will mainly do Surface Combat.
  • The DD will do a TCI, CVE should do night carrier cut in attack.
  • Node E and P may be troublesome due to a lack of air defense.
  • LBAS should focus on removing the surface ships to make scoring the kill against the Boss more likely.
  • The DD or CVE needs to avoid taking too much damage to effectively kill the boss.

Resources and LBAS Farming

Doing this farming will bring a lot of "losses", which can impact overall win rate and thus "event eligibility".

It is possible to farm both fuel and bauxite by reaching node O.

• A maximum of Amphibious Vehicles should be used as they provide the best earnings for submarines.
  • Drum Canister-capable SS are recommended as a substitute, increasing the resource gains without requiring more Amphibious Vehicles.
  • The gain cap being relatively low, it will be capped by using only 10 or 4 + 8 .
  • It is not possible to reach the gain cap with a submarine only fleet.
• To meet the LoS requirement, using Seaplanes and/or Submarine Radars may be required.
  • If possible, it can be advisable to use RE, as Submarine Radars can fit in them.

• While this map has little to no threat against a full submarine fleet, J will have rare instances where destroyers may pop up in the composition that will damage the SS. Please be aware of this while farming this map.
  • Do not consider farming during Boss Last Dance, as J will be locked on this 2 Destroyer composition.

It is possible to farm for LBAS Plane Proficiency ❱❱ by sending the LBAS on a submarine node like J or K.

• Just set-up an LBAS with any planes, according the final range is enough to reach J or K (3 range each).
  • Sending a surface-focused LBAS on J can assure a safer path. Such runs consume little to no resources on the LBAS.
