*Appears to grant a slight damage bonus against installation type enemies, both in daytime and night battle, similar to how [[Type 3 Shell]] behaves.
*Grants a flat 75 firepower bonus against installation type enemies, in contrast to how [[Type 3 Shell]] behaves (2.5 firepower multiplier).
**The damage bonus is much lower than Type 3 Shell, however, which makes it pointless to equip WG42 on CAV or BBV. The bonus, however, will apply to night battle cut-in / double attack.
**Subsequent WG42s will encounter diminishing returns (two WG42s on one ship will only confer a 110 FP bonus
