Introduction

初期の機動部隊を支えた主力攻撃機「九七艦攻」。
旧式化した同機を対潜哨戒機バージョンとして運用する九三一航空隊所属の「九七艦攻」装備飛行隊、その熟練搭乗員ペアによる艦上対潜哨戒機です。
海上護衛部隊の翼として、水面下の脅威から艦隊や船団を護ります。

The "Type 97 Torpedo Bomber" underpinned the attack squadrons of the early carrier task forces.
This unit is an anti-submarine patrol variant of the obsolete "Type 97 Torpedo Bomber" operated by skilled pilots of the 931 Air Group who run anti-submarine patrols off carriers.
They are the wings of the maritime escort squadrons that protect fleets and convoys from underwater threats.

Mechanics

Torpedo Bombers / are one of the main types of plane used by CV(B/L). Their main role is to do damage during the Airstrike, with their "Torpedo" stat being the most important factor in this regard. Torpedo Bombers are additionally needed for dealing damage during day Shelling, especially for Aircraft Carrier Cut-Ins (CVCI).

They can trigger Contact.
They are vulnerable to shoot down during most Aerial Combat phases.

Is an ASW Aircraft.
